I had dinner with my friend Stuart tonight. We dined at the ever-popular Havana Central in Times Square. At the end of the meal, as a busboy was clearing the table, he dropped the silverware on Stuart and got some sauce on his Stuart's sweater. Embarrassed, the busboy said, in a thick Spanish-accent, "I will get you some Sprite," and quickly walked towards the kitchen. Stuart and I laughed about it, thinking he had meant to say "seltzer".
The busboy returned with a cup and gave it to Stuart with a new napkin so Stuart could start cleaning the stain. After a minute, the suspense was killing me and I had to know if the busboy brought seltzer or Sprite.
I raised the cup to my nose and laughed out loud. I told Stuart to stop cleaning his sweater.
