Today would have been John Lennon's 70th Birthday. He was born on October 9, 1940 in Liverpool, England. He died on December 8, 1980 in New York City. I'll always be grateful to John for his songs and his inspiration. I "discovered" his genius in college and since then I've probably listened to or sung to myself a Beatles or John Lennon song every day since. His life was cut short 30 years ago, but his voice will live on forever. Happy Birthday, John.
